COLLE VERDE BED AND BREAKFAST BOLOGNA

THE BALCONY

The floor of the balcony is the same as that used on ships' decks. It faces East which means that it gets the best of our morning sun and we have put many different plants on it from roses to jasmine, eucalyptus, clematis, hydrangea and ivy. There's even a cherry grape vine, so that until late October there's always some flowers on it.
This is the ideal place both for your morning breakfast and for a relaxing drink in the evenings. You can buy your favourite wine in one of the many Enoteche in town or in the small supermarket nearby, or you could simply relax in its shades on hot summer afternoons.

THE VIEW

Every window has got a beautiful view on the typical Bolognese red roofs of the inner Medieval city. This particular one is the view from the balcony and the Church that you see is the Chiesa dell'Annunziata, only a few steps away and one of the most important and beautiful historical monuments of the town, with its long Renaissance portico which has no match in the whole area.

THE BUILDING

Typical small Bolognese style building, dating back to the beginning of the 1800s, probably meant for small, comfortable but not rich business people such as craftsmen, traders etc.
The front door has still the traditional upper fan light. In the hall, the spiral staircase has been recently re-built in "pietra serena", a traditional flag-type slate grey material. Colle Verde is on the first floor which means there's only one flight of stairs to climb. No lift, unfortunately, as the narrow staircase would not allow for same.
